As 2021 draws to a close, the festive season is an ideal time to reflect on the highlights that made the year special.
2021 has given us much to celebrate and enjoy.
We hit the ground running in January despite the Covid-19 lockdowns and remained open and available to our customers, who are at the heart of all we do.
We were thrilled when in the same month we were announced as a finalist in the 2020 Galway Chamber of Commerce Business Awards in the Best Customer Service category, and were up against some very strong competition.
Just as we celebrated 21 years in business in April, we were awarded the highly prestigious Business All-Star Accreditation, an independently verified standard mark for indigenous businesses, based on rigorous selection criteria, run by the All-Ireland Business Foundation.
Business All-Star accredited companies are defined as progressive, indigenous Irish businesses which meet the highest standards of verified performance, trust and customer-centricity.
In September, we were proud to host a virtual Big Coffee Morning Social in aid of the Galway Hospice. With the support of our wonderful customers and partners we helped to raise €895 for this incredibly valuable cause.
Also in September we sponsored the Swan Cup Hockey Tournament in Galway, showing our support for local community sports and activities.
Soon after, we welcomed Caroline Hartigan to the Hennelly Finance team in the role of Qualified Financial Advisor. Caroline brings more than 26 years’ experience in the banking and financial services industry to Hennelly Finance where she will focus on guiding her clients through the financial planning process.
In 2021 we have also maintained a key focus on our educational blog series, both through our website and our quarterly ezine, discussing topics such as how to save thousands on your mortgage repayments and how to access digital doctor services that save you time and money, through to business insights such as how to establish a corporate wellness program for employees.
As the year drew to a close, we were particularly thrilled to be awarded Digital Broker in the 2021 Irish Life Health Broker Awards, and when a charity close to our hearts, ACT for Meningitis secured a €1000 donation from insurer Aviva after Sandra Clancy from our team nominated the charity for the grants program.
